Beyond the milk glass: A hands-on organic dairy experience at Akshayakalpa

Ever wondered where your glass of milk comes from or how organic dairy farming really works? At Akshayakalpa, we invite you to come and experience it firsthand.

Our two-day experiential dairy farm visit is a perfect blend of learning and fun. Whether you’re a curious adult, a parent looking for a meaningful family outing, or someone who just loves nature and good food, this visit has something for everyone.

Let us give you a peek into what makes this visit so special.

Step into the world of organic dairy

Get an inside look at how we care for our cows, produce clean and nutritious milk, and create a self-sustaining farm ecosystem that respects nature at every step. You’ll see, touch, taste, and experience everything that goes into organic dairy farming.

Watch how we milk our cows

At our farm, machine milking ensures that the milk stays untouched by human hands right from the cow to your doorstep. It’s clean, safe, and designed to keep the milk free from contamination. You’ll also get to know how this system is different from conventional dairy practices and why it matters for your health.

See milk testing in action

It doesn’t stop at milking. You’ll witness how we rigorously test our milk to make sure it’s free from antibiotics, aflatoxins, adulterants, and other contaminants. We’ll also take you through what makes milk truly healthy and what you should look for when choosing dairy for your family.

Enjoy organic traditional meals and get a chance to try firewood cooking

Food always tastes better when it’s made with fresh, organic ingredients, and that’s exactly what you’ll enjoy at our farm. Relish wholesome, organic traditional meals that reflect the purity of our produce and the warmth of home-style cooking.
And you will also get a chance to try your hand at firewood cooking. It’s simple, earthy, and a beautiful way to bond with your family while getting a true taste of village life.

Take a peaceful farm walk

Walk through green fields, breathe in fresh air, and listen to the sounds of nature. You’ll spot different varieties of plants and trees, and if you’re lucky, a few birds and butterflies too. It’s a quiet moment to slow down and just be.

Understand what our cows eat

Good milk begins with good food for the cows. You’ll get to see how we grow their fodder right on the farm and learn how techniques like trenching and bunding help retain water and keep the soil fertile. You’ll also get involved in preparing TMR, or total mixed ration, which is a balanced mix of nutrients that keeps our cows healthy and happy.

Get hands-on with farming

Roll up your sleeves and join us in the fields. Whether it’s harvesting vegetables, planting fodder, or trying your hand at chaffing, you’ll get a real sense of how much care and effort goes into growing food the organic way.

Try your hand at cooking the traditional way

Gather around the firewood stove and cook a meal with your family. It’s simple, earthy, and a lovely way to bond over food and stories.

Spend time with our cows

No visit to the farm is complete without some cow cuddles. You can pet them, feed them, and even sit with them. They’re gentle, friendly, and always happy to meet new people.

See sustainability in action

At our biogas plant, you’ll see how cow dung and slurry are turned into biofuel that powers our farm kitchen. From converting kitchen waste into compost to conserving water through farm ponds, sustainability is woven into everything we do.

Taste the organic goodness

Before you leave, don’t forget to try our milk and milk products. Whether it’s a glass of fresh milk, a bite of paneer, or a spoonful of ghee, you’ll taste the difference that organic makes.

This farm visit is more than just an outing. It’s an experience that brings you closer to your food, your environment, and your family. It’s about seeing the story behind your glass of milk and being part of it—even if just for a weekend.
