Generally compared with Robusta variety of bananas, Yelakki (or Elaichi) bananas have the same nutrition value as regular bananas, although they contain lesser calories due to their small size.
Because organic bananas are cultivated without the use of pesticides, fertilizers or artificial ripening agents, they may vary in taste, size and colour. However, each banana brings to you the best of nutrition, purity and quality – bananas straight from nature!
Storage
Akshayakalpa Organic Yelakki Bananas are best consumed on the day of delivery – the fresher, the better.
If the bananas are ripe, remove them from the package and store them at room temperature.
If the bananas are unripe/slightly raw, please keep them wrapped in the coir packaging to help them ripen quicker.

Also known as ‘Elaichi Bananas’ in Maharashtra and ‘Chinia Bananas’ in Bihar regions, Yelakki Bananas are a common variety grown in the Karnataka region. They are small sized (even smaller than your palms at times), aromatic, sweeter than regular Bananas and convenient to store and consume.
2. The bananas are over-ripe/ too raw. What should I do?
Because Akshayakalpa Organic bananas are naturally-ripened, the process is sometimes impacted by environmental factors like temperature etc.
– If the bananas are ripe: do store them at room temperature
– If the bananas are raw: store them in the coir packaging to help them ripen
