India could soon experience heat waves beyond the human survival limit- says world bank.
The World Bank report titled “Climate investment opportunities in India’s cooling sector” said the country is experiencing higher temperatures that arrive earlier and will stay for longer this time.
In a world of rising temperatures and global warming, we have seen a steady decrease of 1.5 to 1.8 degree in temperature at our dairy farms.
At Akshayakalpa we work with nature and not against it. In an experiment that we conducted, it was seen that the temperature at the Akshayakalpa farms in Tiptur was 1.5 to 1.8 degree Celsius less than the other non-coexistent dairy farms year after year.
Why? It all starts with the soil. From the time we started, achieving healthy thriving soil was our main priority. Healthy soil stores carbon and can reduce carbon emissions hence reducing the temperature over time. It also aids drought and flood management and increases crop productivity and resilience.
Providing sustainable nutritious foods for the world’s population without damaging the environment is the biggest challenge of the 21st century.
